Working alongside our long-term client, PR agency Amber and their client Panasonic Business. I’ve come to appreciate with this collaboration that the Panasonic Toughbook product range of laptops and tablets has a wide scope of applications. Each of the case studies we’ve been asked to produce has its own individual requirements and allows us to capture a wide range of, often exciting locations and scenarios.
Helping to promote the Toughbook range we’ve jumped on jets, crawled over Salisbury Plain with the MOD, climbed up dock cranes, walked on the roofs of trains and pounded the streets of many national and European cities. All exciting locations you’d expect from a global brand.
Each project is unique, although usually starts with a call from the client to check our availability and to discuss the requirement of the brief. A press release is received, and we convert it into a video script. The script is returned and following approval, is recorded by an appointed voiceover artist, with a storyboard and shot list being produced for approval.
These detailed documents are shared with Amber, Panasonic and their partner and gives an insight into what we plan to film and the scenarios we’d like to capture.
A timed filming schedule is then agreed upon and the film crew is briefed, and a kit list put together.
Depending on the location of the shoot, security clearance is obtained, and hotel accommodation is booked, and a clear shooting schedule is finalised.
The day of the filming arrives, and we captured the agreed footage and interviews. With the planning being made in advance this process tends to fall in to place with ease and tends to be a pleasant experience for those involved.
The video is then edited with titles, nameplates, logos, music and motion graphics and presented to the client.
Depending on the project and its requirements, the video is supplied in various formats for social media, website and offline applications.
There is rarely a dull moment with this client allows us to stretch our creativity and organisational skills.
